More on Streatham & Marlborough

Can I add a short piece to Tim's excellent report? 

Some of us were disconcerted to see John Major come in to bat for Streatham at number 5. Not only was there a physical identity but he took up Major's classical side-on stance. On closer inspection, he was slightly taller and thinner than the real thing, and, over tea, he told us he was a socialist. But, when he came on to bowl later on, he wore his flannels tucked inside his socks, in a most uncanny echo of those Steve Bell  cartoons ....
