Wilmot 56* vs Peper Harow; 50 vs Limpsfield Chart, 50 vs Vipers Elite

Best bowling was Rakesh Ramani 6-3-9-5 vs Graces. Dan Forman took 3-0-9-5 vs Harwell International, and Martin Hurst’s 8-1-39-5 vs SMCC included a second spell of 4-1-9-5.

Notable events: 65 players turned out for the Mandarins (2022,50) of whom 24 appeared just once. Mandarins took 86 catches and 6 stumpings. Ramani had most victims, 9.  Worst collapses were 4-7 vs HMT, 6-6 vs Qulibets, 7-18 vs Brill and 9-21 vs Graces, including 8-11. Versus Brill, Sam Keayes and Prof Heather broke the all time club record for the 10th wicket, scoring 56, overtaking the 54 made by Tunbridge and Manian at SMCC on 9/8/2020. Mandarins passed 50 for the 9th and 10th wicket for the first time in the same season, and only failed by 4 runs (vs DEFRA) to record a 50 partnership for every wicket. Even so, 50 for 9 out of 10 wickets is unprecedented. The 27 50 plus partnerships was the most since 1991. Johnny Extras had another exceptional season, top scored for us with 32 vs Abinger, got 49 vs Limpsfield and 52 vs SMCC in a 33 run victory. Chris Healey’s aggregate of 406 runs was the best since Sam Cook’s 383 in 2011, and his century at Brightwell the first since Tim Baxter’s at North Enfield in 2018. Mandarins recorded 35 ducks out of 214 completed innings, 16.35%, vs historic average of 14.39%. Dan Forman took a hat-trick at Harwell, and he, Rakesh Ramani and Martin Hurst all took 5-fers.
